Upsizing

I sometimes feel I'm kind of like a Johnny Comes Lately when it comes to trends, where I'll remain utterly oblivious to something that as was in fashion until it completely disappears from the shops all together. Then all of a sudden I am going “No way! Colored jeans?”. One example is the smock dress, or in fact any dresses with a wide fit (babydolls, tent dresses, Mexican dresses and so on…) that I've only really just discover the benefits of them this January and have since been on a mission to acquire more comfy goodness in my wardrobe.

Apart from the beloved white Zara dress, I also bought a cream baby doll dress in Japan, and with the two in rotation they are been keeping me nice and cool in the humid Taiwanese weather.

The cream dress especially certainly allows me the freedom of movement to mess about in my hotel room:

Looking slightly grumpy in the last picture as my dad just said my new uber straight hair made me look like Bai Ling. Like, thanks a lot, dad.

Dress:Japan
Petticoat under: Mums
Cardi: Uniqlo Men
Trainers: Japan
Necklace:H&M and Taipei

Also, new biscuit shaped necklace for 1 pound from Taipei! My mum actually asked me if it was real, failing to realise that if it was real, it would be in my tummy, not on my neck. Now you see why I need loose fit dresses?

I love the biscuit necklace, it looks too cute.

I a belt fiend so when I ever I have this kind of dress I’m to inclined to wrap a belt around it, which defeats the purpose of the dress really, might give it a go without a belt actually, might be a nice change.
oh I love your Nike zoom's I’m not a trainer person but I have wanted a pair for while now, but fear if but them they will just gather dust.

I was never into smock dresses but then someone pointed out that my tendancy hoist up skirts to wear as dresses gives a 'smock' effect.... so I'm into smocks without even knowing it!

i always suffer from the same problem with clothes! i get into things way too late and am unable to find them, whereas 6 months earlier the shops were knee deep in them.

All the little accessories you are collecting in Asia (are you in Taiwan or Japan right now?) make me jealous...

Would you consider starting a little Ms. UPS and marketing those goodies? :)

oh and THANK YOU so much for the vote

I LOVE the hair. Even before I got to your comment about it, I was thinking, Why doesn't mine ever look like that?

BTW, that Norwegian program I wrote about is here (I linked to the Tightsman episode; the rest are in the left bar. Enjoy!)

I love these layers, they're soft and romantic. You look lovely. I always feel behind on trends too, that's why I say I don't follow them, because I'm never "on time!"

Haha, thanks for standing up for me guys. I'm going to have to print this out and show my dad "Look, popular opinions show that I do not look like Bai Ling!"

The petticoat under the dress gives such an air of soft and feminine, I love it.

I'm the kind that notices trends but doesn't like them until they're untrendy most of time.

That biscuit necklace is adorable and looks so yummy, I actually thought it was a real biscuit at first too!
